East Meets West: Exploring the Roots of Our Passion

Seven senior Natyalaya dancers will embark on a multi-city, multi-performance journey in our mother country of India, aptly titled Samarpanam: Dedication. Lasting 18 days, Samarpanam will give these dancers a unique look into the roots of this ancient art form and in doing so, establish a cross Atlantic cultural connection.

Samarpanam will mark Natyalaya’s first foray into the avenue of international performance. The dancers will perform in prestigious halls and dance festivals in Bangalore, Chennai, Kerala, and Hyderabad. They will also be taking master classes with renowned exponents in the field of Bharatanatyam, and visit various temples in Tanjavur, Chidambaram, Tarapuram and Madurai.
